Trading email for diapers

Hey folks,

As I write this, I ponder the fact that my son could arrive on any day.  So I'm going to write this now even though I've got two weeks left, because you never know when a baby will decide he's ready to make his entrance into this world.

I've been working like a madman trying to wrap up stuff at work, home, church, and StevieSnacks trying to get as much stuff done as possible before he gets here.  I've made some good progress on the Essential Fretboard series, which I think will be my best series yet, but there's still a lot more to do.

I'm primarily writing this to prepare you for what I'll be doing when the baby is born.  Since I've never done this before, I'm drawing a pretty thick fence around my time when that happens and am going to request a few things from all of you.  When the baby is born, I will be shutting down the download and DVD stores for a few days until we're back home with the baby.  Orders placed before that happens will still be processed and available for download, but new orders will not be enabled.

I will reopen the download and DVD stores after a few days, and will continue taking and assisting customers with ordering issues, but that is it.  I will not be answering any email regarding lessons, gear, tone, or anything else.  During this time, if you are unsure about what lessons to buy, you can either wait until I "return" or use what I've already written about the lessons make an educated decision.

In order to preserve my sanity :) I will also not be "catching up" on email when I return either.  So if a non-qualified email comes in during that time, it will have to be resent later.

I hate to make this sound so technical, and non-personal, or that I don't like email, because it's been a highlight of this whole adventure.  But a new baby is a big enough adventure all by himself and I want to enjoy it and learn the ropes without any more distraction than is needed.

Like I said, I've got 2 weeks left according to the due date, but don't be surprised if you see a "N/A" sign on the download store sometime in the days before that.  You'll know what it means :)

That was close just got under the wire on my order. Good luck with your new addition and hopefully by the time you get back into the swing of things I will have completed the lessons, but I doubt it. Family first and enjoy.

Anthony,

No, thank YOU for putting God and your wife and child first. Your decision will serve you well with far more peace and sanity in the long run lol.

We're not going anywhere, we'll still be here...calmly but anxiously awaiting your return... when the time is right... IT'S ALL GOOD ... Enjoy the miracle of life my friend.

We'll see you back at the fretboard - when the time is right and no sooner : }

Peace,
Jack

Anthony, You've got your priorities straight my friend! Once the baby comes you'll be busy but INSPIRED too!! I'm a father of 2 and player of 30 or so years - your site has been great for me! It's added a new dimension to my playing and I've picked up some cool technical advice. Take care and I hope all goes well with the baby! Best Regards!
